Upload games save to Steam Cloud

How do you upload your game saves to steams clouds service? When I try to backup my games saves it wants to save them on my computer. I'm trying to put them in the cloud because i'm going to wipe my computer. I can put them in an external drive but want to figure out how to use Steam Cloud.

It generally does whenever you exit the game.

If you have Steam Cloud enabled under the game's Properties > Updates. Try launching the game and exit. See if it synchronizes to Steam Cloud.

By default, it's enabled in both Steam > Settings > Cloud; as well as the game's properties.

I looked and it is enable but I think my game doesn't support games saves to steam cloud. The game is SWTOR. It doesn't show an option under updates, but SWTOR II does. It's like i'll have to do things the old fashion way.

If you want to back up saves in an easy way you should try this: http://www.gamesave-manager.com/
the backup files it creates are 7zip files so you can extract them wherever or let the software do it.

Yeah, seems that while SWTOR doesn't support Steam Cloud (I don't see the box on my end either); SWTOR II does (as far as it's Store page is to go by.)

Forcen posted a good tool, should you not want to use that, there's also http://pcgamingwiki.com which mentions a lot of save game data locations.
