How can i migrate or move downloading steam games
I am installing CS:GO on my C:/ Drive and it took up lots of space. It is still installing. How can i move csgo to my D drive while it's still downloading? :steamsad:

You can't. You'd have to delete the content already downloaded and create a Steam Library on the other drive.

Well, i may finish downloading CSGO . After i install it, can i migrate it to another drive?

I don't quite know if you can migrate it after installed.

After it's done, exit Steam, move the game's folder to the other location's SteamApps\common\ -folder and the appmanifest_730.acf -file to the SteamApps\ -folder

Then restart Steam.


Mid-download, presumably moving the contents from SteamApps\downloading regarding state_<app-ID>_<depot-ID>.patch (and the app-ID -titled directory) would work fine too, but I'd let it finish before attempts to move it.

Sorry for abrupt reply, but I just searched around google and found this post. I was trying to move the partly downloaded game from a corrupted drive to another drive, and moving uncorrupted files to the corresponding folder do works! Now it's continuing download again, thank you so much!
