SteamVR performance test~~ Uses my intergrated graphics card instead of my Nvidia Card
Basically been searching all over the internet for help, but nothing has been significant enough.
I have a GeForce GTX 860m and my integrated intel HD graphics 4600.
I have updated both graphic cards and tried disabling the intel card.
I tried going through the nvidia control panel and choosing high performance as the preferred graphics.
And I checked my display adapters properties and it is using the intel card as well.
Please help with information if you can, I will give a link to pictures for a better explanation.

Well I can tell you that your 860M probably isn't going to be fast enough for VR as it's slower than a desktop 960 and the GTX 970 is the recommended minimum for VR (due to the need for a high framerate to avoid motion sickness).

Yes it is global, I just did that picture to put more detail into which one I'm using

Well I have the devolopers version 2 for the Oculus Rift and it works perfectly fine, and the recommend requirements were the same.
Tried multible monitors as well, still connecting to the intel card

I remember having this issue with Counter-Strike: Nexon Zombies where no matter what settings the game would use Intel and there would be mouse input lag. I fixed it by messing around with Nvidia Inspector. I forgot what I did with it exactly, it's been a long time. Sorry I couldn't be more helpful.
Any idea on how to make the moniter to use my better graphics card..?

I've used the oculus rift v2 and it worked perfectly fine. I've also seen people use lesser cards and still get good quality

if you plan to use it for any videogame that gpu will not run it well vr really does need the gtx 970 and i5 4590 or better due to the resolution of the vr headset

It's fine, I just need to find out how to change what the monitor uses as gpu.

I think with most laptops the output always ends up having to run through the intel.

I'm in a similar position I have the 870m (6gb vram version) and have set the nvidia control panel to use the 870m. I know its using the 870m because my fps are much greater than my first test when it used the igpu. The end summary still states I'm using the 4600. I get between 130-180 fps on the test, but the result is still in the red with a gpu upgrade being recommended.
