Emotes question. (Answered)
Okay, I've seen some stuff about Steam emotes being expensive, and out of confusion, I decided to do some research on them. Because of that research, I now have two questions, and I felt it would be better to start a new thread instead of necro-ing old ones.

So, first question: Only ways to get emotes is by using trading cards to crafy a badge or by buying them through the Community Market?

Second question: Are there some basic emotes that everyone gets automatically, and how do I know which emotes I have, if any?

when you start typing you should see a smiley face pop up next to post comment that's where all your emotes are

Mainly for other emotes then these basic one's you have to get from crafting, trading, or the market. There are some basic one's and you can see them like what Alexalmighty said.

So I gues that since I'm just seeing the default when I click on the emoticons, I just have those ones. Questions answered, confusion gone. Everybody who replied, thank you.

Also, emote are usually NOT expensive. Some games may have rare trading cards, leading to expensive emotes, but usually you can get one off the market for a few cents. :Khappy::gmod::csgogun::csgob::facepunch:
