Question About XBOX One Wireless Controller Adapter USB Extension Cable
I bought an XBOX One Controller and it came with a USB extension cable. Is it necessary to connect the extender if I am using a desktop? The instructions specified for the adapter to be connected to the extension cable for desktop users, but the controller still works without the extension cable. Will the adapter break or something if I do not use the extension cable? Sorry if I posted this on these forums but there weren't any annswers online.

If your adapter acts as a wireless USB that connect to the controller, I am sure you will be fine. The extension cable should be for only when the controller is on low battery so you can charge while still use the controller. If you the manual, read it.

The extension cable is for extending the range of the controller right? Not anything else?

pretty much, mine is extended to behind my keyboard so i can sync my controller easier.
