Why do steam games keep installing software i already have?
Im referring to the ones that require certain software in order to play the game something called an "EULA policy" or how i called them EULA Steam Games

I installed hell yeah yesterday and auto installed directX (Required software for me to play the game) but i already had it on my computer and it can't be because it was outdated my computer automatically updates important software for it to funtion.

As of now im down to 30.3 GigaBytes and will soon optimize/cleanup my harddrive.

TL;DR:How can i uninstall the same bs HY installed on my computer without destroying it?

There may be different distributions to the software it is installing.

You can purchase an external drive from a number of sites, if it's really important.

When you install a game through Steam they often copy specific versions of DirectX files to the directory tree of the game files. This is to insure the game has the needed DX assets available. These are not necessarily new installs of DirectX versions.

With C++ they might actually be installs. My Win 7 install currently shows 20 Window C++ redistributables installed. All with different version numbers.

If your system did not require a restart then a new version of DX or C++ was not actually installed.

Your computer shouldn't have to install older versions of DirectX unless your running an older version of that application i mean i have DX12 so i don't need to download anything any time soon as for the Redist visuals you should be able to delete the old ones in the add or remove programs application in the control panel
