Mobile authenticator stopped working
A while ago i got mobile authenticator and was able to trade without holds. recently when i try to trade or someone trades with me it says up the top that i havent had mobile authenticator for 7 days and will have to wait 72 hours for trade hold. I have never removed the authenticator and havent changed any settings since it was working. Does anyone know how to fix this?

You can't fix a 72 hour trade hold. If you want to know more about a trade hold look here.

I know how trade holds work and that you need mobile authenticator to prevent this hold but the thing is iv been using it for like a month and trading with no hold and suddenly stopped working

Because you can't disable trade confirmations anymore,
https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=1284-WTKB-4729
There is no longer a way to opt out.

You could check if the option is actually still there before suggesting it to someone else.

OP, when you go here: https://store.steampowered.com/account/ do you still see a green badge with [Protected by Steam Mobile Authenticator] marked next to it?

Should the former be true, while you said you added the authenticator a month ago; could you check regardless when the last time was that you got an e-mail titled "Steam Guard Mobile Authenticator added"?

You haven't been able to opt-out of the confirmations for a month now.

Not to be rude, but could you check next time if you can see the options yourself before claiming they still exist? Thanks.

And you're sure it says that you're the one who hasn't had the Steam Mobile Authenticator enabled for 7 days?

i.e. In trades where you're receiving items, the other party must also meet these requirements.

Odd. Is this on the official Steam -websites, or on some third party websites?

Do you get this issue on other browsers where you're trying to trade?

I dont use other external sites, could you give me an example and ill try it

For example, if you initiate the trade on Google Chrome, or Mozilla Firefox, do you get the same yellow box on the top of the trade window?

Do you have more than one Steam -account? (The reason I ask this, is because some people have had some session related issues; although in Steam Market -context, but nonetheless it's restrictions they shouldn't be seeing on the account they're on.)
