PING STUCK AT 150
I have been playing csgo for about 4 months and my ping is usually always about 30-60. My ping has randomly been starting to get stuck at ~150, sometimes 140 sometimes 160. This is NOT my internet or computer because I did a ping test and got 19 ms. I logged into my friends steam account jumped into a game and got regular ping(30-60). This must be valve or something I changed nothing and it randomly started doing this. This happens in competitive matches and regular matches(demolition, casual, etc). What I found weird was that I could play on a community server and get as low as 5-25 ping. This makes me think valve is connecting me to a server far away from my location. Not too sure though. I tried "setting up my rates" and changing my max acceptable ping and it did absolutely nothing. Whether its 50 or 350 I always get ~150. Yes, I know some of you might think 150 ping isnt that bad, but after playing this whole time with low ping made me get used to it. Please help me if you have any ideas. Thanks.

There is a thread about this type of pin. It talks about trying to fix it. It's link is on the bottom.

@ARuarkGuy I read it and theres no solution, is there no way to fix this?

Well usually it may sometimes be a glitch.

Maybe it's because:

1. You are playing with friends from a different country and as such get matched on a server in THEIR vicinity.

2. For whatever reason, your ISP chooses a route to Valve's server that is clogged or overloaded. Did you try playing at different times of the day?

Or if that is not the reason then you probably need to fix it. One person fixed it by doing these steps. They might work for you too.

1. Press start.
2. type "cmd" and open it, it should be a black window with white text.
3. Type "ipconfig/release" into cmd.
4. Type "ipconfig/renew" into cmd.

This basically cuts off your internet for 3 seconds and once you type in renew it reconnects.

If this does not work then I do not know what to do next.
