delete cache?
so there's this game that i played for hundreds of hours but some minutes ago it started bugging, so i uninstalled it and installed it again but when i do that, steam somehow installs the last "version" that i played, with all the saved games and, of course, the bug
how can i install the game as i did the first time when i bought it? is there some kind of steam cache or history that i should delete?

Victoria II? Seeing that's the only game you've played since March 20th, 2015.

By the looks of the Steam Store, the game doesn't have Steam Cloud saving though.

Therefore,

yes, that's it, i uninstalled and reinstalled it multiple times already but it keeps installing my old saved games and the bug, very weird...

Could you check the My Documents -folder for the save games?

Steam's uninstallation of the game doesn't remove the files from there.

i deleted those files and reinstalled but now when i run it, it crashes while loading and a window that says "Exception in: virtualfilesystem.cpp, line: 622. Description: System couldn't find the specified file" pops up =(

You did delete only the savegames -folder, right?

Well, try verifying the game cache.

Right mouse click the game on Steam > Properties > Local Files > [Verify Integrity of Game Cache]

i deleted all the victoria ii folder lol
anyway, i restored it and deleted only the savegames folder, but if i do that the game doesn't have my saved games BUT still has the bug! which is what i'm really trying to fix, the corrupted files must be in another folder
isn't there a way i can install all these files as if i just bought the game? i think that would solve everything

Did you find a solution? I have same issue with EU4, Stellaris, and CK2. These 3 games suddenly all crash.
