removing account restrictions..confused :-(

Hi,
i recently bought a retail version of CSGO and activated it here on steam..my account ,however,is locked/restricted and i cant access the csgo market either
i have read up on how to un-lock it but am a bit confused
so what i wanna ask is...if i make a purchase (after adding the minimum amount steam says i can add)...say a csgo skin(a cheap one,say) will my account be activated?or is there an absolute minimum i HAVE to spend before i can un lock my account?

To unlock your account, you must spend at least five dollars on Steam's Store or add that amount on your wallet. Buying retail versions or activating keys unfortunately doesn't count.

just add 5 dollars to your account. you dont have to buy anything.

buying 5 dollars of steam credit = spending 5 dollars on steam.

well okay if i add ,say,less than 5$ to my wallet ill still be able to access the csgo community market right?buy a few skins?

Actually, try adding 5 dollars to your Steam Wallet. If your account unlocks, everything will be great and you can spend the money on the Community market. If the market will not be unlocked, you will have to spend the money on a game.

Pasting this thing everywhere won't get your account unbanned. As I said previously, send a ticket to Steam Support. We here are regular users and we cannot do anything.

you know where the problem is?
place i live in (India),steam allows wallet additions of 320 INR and 640 INR...nothing in between...and currently 5$ converts to 340 INR...so ill have to add 640 just because steam wont allow me to add 340 or 50...friggin ridiculous -_-

I think you can add custom amounts by using Google Chrome with an addon called Enhanced Steam. Then, you will probably be able to enter custom amounts of money on the wallet page.

yep you have been screwed. you could buy a 5 dollar steam wallet card online then redeem the card on steam.
