Popcap games don't work because of Steam

Steam released an update recently which made all popcap games not work in fullscreen anymore. I just sits there in the loading screen forever till you enter into task manager and close the game. The current workaround is to go into regedit and force the games to go into windowed mode. The game then runs fine, and you can even go back to fullscreen while playing, but make sure to go back to windowed mode before exiting or else the game won't load again next time.

If Steam could plz undo whatever they did to break popcap games in their next Steam update, I'd appreciate it.

I know, I read that topic, that's why I'm posting here, hoping Steam Staff will see this topic or someone in contact with them will see this and forward the message to get it resolved properly.

Workarounds won't work with my dad since he's a rookie when it comes to PC stuff. And I don't have the patience to try to fix all of his Popcap games for him. (he's got a lot of them).

I just played several of the popcap games just now, and had no issues. All of them launched, loaded, and allowed me to actually play. So it may be an isolated thing for some people. The best thing to do in this case is post a ticket to support, and include your specs.

Were you playing in fullscreen or windowed mode? Cuz it's the fullscreen mode that's messed up.

Have you tried switching to the steam beta to see if it changes anything?

Steam Beta and non Beta do the same thing. Posting here, Steam staff will not see this. I have posted a support ticket and i am just waiting
