What is the Market Fee Valve add on posting on market ?

What is the "Steam Transaction Fee"?

The Steam Transaction Fee is collected by Steam and is used to protect against nominal fraud incidents and cover the cost of development of this and future Steam economy features. The fee is currently 5% (with a minimum fee of $0.01). This fee may be increased or decreased in the future.

FAQ says 5% Transaction fee and (typically) 10% Game Free.

Which means 15% total.

If you list something on CS:GO for 5€, the buyer pays is 1.15 times that = 5.75€

Considering the prior Market sales which allowed for up to 30% less for Steam Mobile Authenticator users without hurting the seller, I guess the range goes as far as 25% Game Fee at top.

Pretty much.

I know that I'm getting 1.20 times price on for example Sins of a Solar Empire; but I'm only getting 1.15 times on most other items.

It would be easier if it was just calculated when you purchase the Item off the market, instead of being calculated at the seller's end which affects market prices.
