Steam has steam guard for your account for a reason to protect you and not using it is something you do at your own risk.
https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=2347-QDFN-4366
Rules are rules, you're responsible for your account security and you're responsible for any actions taken by your account.
Once Treyarch find out, you will probably be banned.
Look, I'm not trying to sound harsh. It's just that I'm worried to death...
@Chompman, I did use steam guard, but not the steam app (Android/IOS) version... I better check my email just in case anything happened there.
Game bans are very rarely permanent and whatever the hacker used clearly didn't trigger a VAC ban (which is permanent).
If you are banned, you'll have a big red message on your profile telling people you've been banned.
Treyarch and TAC (Treyarch Anti-Cheat Team) are probably busy policing Bo3 now, your infraction may be seen as insignificant enough to overlook. But only time will tell.
Edit: Ahh sorry it was Bo3... Urgh, I would think you'd probably receive a ban of some kind then >_<
