Do authorized resellers offer refunds?

If a game is bought from an authorized reseller (like greenmangaming, gamesplanet etc), is the refund policy the same as steam? Would it be refunded by steam or do I have to rely on the website refund policy (of the reseller where I would buy the game) ?

steam will only refund games bought through steam.
its usually the seller that handles refunds.

Refund policy is set by the seller. Most key sellers do not offer refunds because they do not have the ability to revoke keys and revoked keys cannot be resold so they could not resell the game you refunded which would mean they have to absorb the cost of the game.

Gmg and gamergate refund policies are very ungenerous. Once you have started to download the game, no refunds

It is basically due to the nature of their business unlike Steam which can just hold the money and return it to you and generates the keys they don't have any loss.

Authorised resellers on the other hand buy keys in bulk and sell them at whatever price they want. Once sold that is it though they can't reuse that key anymore.
