I've no idea how EGS handles their stuff, it's a R* Social Club game and runs through there not Steam.

Unless you have a license key you can only add to Steam as a non-steam game. You can get a key from anywhere and add the game to Steam but you will have to, more than likely, pay for it.

There are no Steam keys for GTA 5. All other stores sell non-Steam versions.
