greyed out next button on adding phone number

I was about to add a new phone number to my account but suddenly i was not able to proceed because the next button is cannot be clicked or greyed out. I tried to check my phone number if I entered the right one but there's no issue right there.. i think it's just that for some reason, my phone number is not recognized as a valid phone number and I don't know why... Pls someone help me with this

Did you start it with a 0? Try the country code For UK that's 44

So for example 07777 888 888 would be 44777 888 888

This will be to do with your region code.

For example UK numbers have +44 so you need to drop the first digit.
So normally it would be 0123456789
So for this case you drop the 0 for it to be 123456789

a + is the same as 00, try with that

Same! I even bought a new sim card and the steam next button is greyed out for it. But, if i try to put in my old phone number which is associated with my main account, the next button is available. freakin weird.

IDK why but if your 4th number is bellow 5 it does not work.

exactly, if I change 4 to 5, next button is green.... but of course that is not my phone number anymore

Best advice is to contact Steam support, via the "Help" menu (top left of steam client).
Then select "My Account"

Next "Data related to my account", and finally scroll all the way down to where you can write a question about your account.
