My Retail key isn't working and gamestop won't help

I bought elden ring from game stop on November 27th and the code gives me error every time I try to reedem it steam support said contact them I contacted them like 20 times they say to contact steam I don't know what to do

This error message is obvious. You said "Elden Ring" which is a game, not a gift card. The error message is speaking of gift cards, meaning you're trying to redeem this game licence code as a gift card code which, unsurprisingly, fails. Redeem that game license code as a game license code.

In that case, you're left with 2 options:
1. Double-check for the stuff that error message tells you about. Hell, triple-check this stuff!
2. If #1 fails, demand your money back from GameStop.
