unsupported file system
this is the message appearing whenever i try to update baldur's gate 3 or Payday 3. They install perfectly when i do a fresh insall but as soon as there is an update i get this message...

My disk is in the NTFS format and other games on the disk update perfectly.

Has anyone got the same problem? And how can i possibly fix this?

Does the drive have enough space to process the update? If not Steam attempts to use other Steamlibrary folders on other drives. If those are FAT32 you can easily encounter issues like that.

Yes i had enough space on my disk however i have disk in FAT 32 as another steam library. I removed it from my Steam files. We'll see if this was the issue.

How much free space does the drive have that has Payday3 or Baldur's Gate 3 on it?

around 150GB of free space and the update was 4 GB

you need 130 gb + size of the patch download to patch BG3 because Steam keeps temporary copies of updated files in case of a patch failure.
