How to open Steam Browser
In short: have Steam (the app, open in Store) open on your screen and drag a link from a browser to Steam. Drop the link onto Steam and it should open the Steam browser.

In not as short:
Many people want to use Steam's glorious browser, thanks to all its innovative features, from freezing and closing randomly to it not having a search history to it not being Google and they think it will keep their data safe.
Somehow, just as many people don't know how to open the Steam browser. I didn't until last week when I accidentally dragged a link from Farm RPG to Steam.
I explained how to do it in the shorter version, but it might be beneficial to say some more things, since my computer may have different limitations than yours. When I'd opened the Steam browser, I was using Windows 11 on a PC. Last time it worked was December 10th, 2023. It was done in Canada.
That was about all the info I think necessary, but I'd also like to say that it seemed not to work when recreating on a Chromebook with the Steam app (not Steam Link or anything, it's just called Steam).

I hope this helped. Also I have no clue if these things are only supposed to be questions but I couldn't find anything that said I couldn't just post an answer and the only post that I found on this had been closed by a moderator when there was no real answer.
I'm not totally sure what to post this in but I think Help and Tips works, right?

Also, if you don't know what link to drag, I just go on to Youtube and drag the Youtube button in the corner.
Another thing is that Google's a special web browser. If you post something that isn't a link in the URL box, it will just search it. With Steam, however, you must post a URL into the box. To search something, click the home button in the top left corner (next to the back, forward, and reload buttons). Doing this will bring you to Google, which you can search in the large search bar in the center (still not the URL box).

If you've got any other questions, I won't be able to answer them will try to help.

In fact, if you've got any tips for me (any better way to post this, other than shortening it down) or a better way to open the Steam web browser, I (and anyone else here) would be glad to hear them.

This thread was quite old before the recent post, so we're locking it to prevent confusion.
