Can't Set My Default Status to Offline in the Friends List
Do i have to select offline mod manually everytime after launching steam? Can't I just stay offline until i make a change?

The setting is called "Sign in to friends when Steam Client starts". Untick it if you, well, want to not sign in automatically.
