how to stop steam from opening a whole bunch of tabs when starting it?
every time i start steam it always opens up friends list and special offers and sometimes other things. and its REALLY ANNOYING!!! is there literally any way to disable this?

Yes in Steam top left>settings > interface and then look in notifications.
