How to get scroll wheel Guide button Chord to work right?

Im basically trying to get the Guide Chorded Right stick on my PS4 controller to also act as a scroll wheel when I press the Mode Switch button for it but no matter what settings I try for it, scrolling just doesnt seem to work properly at all. Is there something Im misunderstanding?

I found scroll wheel mapped to analog stick works better when Swipe Direction is on Circular (default setting) (you'd rotate the stick to scroll). With Swipe Direction on Vertical (or horizontal) things were problematic.

So, I'm unsure what specifically you were facing but have you got this for the mode shifted RS?:

Clockwise Command = Scroll Wheel Down
Counter Clockwise Command = Scroll Wheel Up

It looks like you know how to set the Mode Shift Button, so that should be enough (might find you need to back out of the configurator for the changes to apply).

If you still face issues, if you had changed them, use these settings:
for Right Joystick Behaviour (Mode Shift): set Swipe Direction to Circular, Wrap List to enabled

for Clockwise & Counter Clockwise command:
set the activation type to Regular Press (some other activators are OK but some brought issue).
turn off Hold to Repeat (Turbo)

Yea I tried Circular and with Wrap list and it was very random when I made circle motions with my joystick. I'd consistently roll it clockwise and it'd go up for like half the motion then suddenly want to go down, then after that it'd just juggle up and with random intensity, so I just dont know if I was misunderstanding something about it or not

I dont think I checked for Regular Press tho. Ill check that out

How is it with Spin Friction set to Off?
Looks like that pretty much resolved the issues I'd experienced with Vertical (circular remained very good for me). Perhaps it was reading the snap back of the stick in the friction phase.

I did infact try friction off and it turned out to be just another way to make it sporadic for me. but Ill try again because I admittedly didnt experiment with it for long.

Sweet it works good now, Instead of Friction speed off I tried low and it seems to be stable for me now. thanks for help!
