My special edition xbox controller is detected as a switch pro controller

As the tittle says, I bough a Stellar Shift wireless xbox controller and steam and windows detects it as a Switch pro controller. I can't find anything but the reverse problem online. I am at a lost on what to do.


Does anyone know how to fix it?

You did setup the wireless adapter by using the Ultimate software, right?

I have no idea what the ultimate software is, can you explain?

So I just did, it detects the right controller, but my steam and windows still show as a Switch Pro

Hold View + D-pad Up till it switches to Xinput mode (you'll see/hear the controller disconnect/re-connect in the OS, light will flash on the adapter).

Mode switching info's under FAQ > Manual Setting on this page:
