Cant activate gift from friend

Yesterday my friend gifted me a game(Lethal Company) and when I logged in to check there was a notification but when I click on the notification it redirects me to my inventory page but there was no option for me to accept/decline the gift it was just blank.

I tried activating it through email and then my browser, on the browser page it said that the game is now in my library but its not there when I check my client the game isnt in my library and when I click "install your new games now" the client would pop up "Failure, An error occurred while installing AppID 0: connection timed out"

I have tried clearing my download cache, turn off my firewall and change my download region. I tried downloading different games on steam and epic games and it was fine.

Open your account details page, in browser, navigate to your license history. Is the game there?
