Inquiry about Using GTA V Backup Files on Rockstar Launcher

I hope everyone's having a good day. I have a question regarding Grand Theft Auto V (GTA V) and I'm reaching out to the community for some advice.

I recently purchased GTA V on the Rockstar Games Launcher, but I already have backup files from a friend's Steam account. I'm curious if there's a way to use these backup files to install the game on the Rockstar Launcher without having to download it again.

I understand there might be differences between the versions, and I want to make sure I'm doing things right without running into any complications. Has anyone else tried this before? Any insights or advice would be greatly appreciated.

I haven't anything on the RGL and GTA5 only free on Epic (i.e., not on Steam) so I can't directly provide file/folder paths for you but I'd assume that it'd mostly work. Not fully since the Steam and RGL versions are not same to the last file/byte (former adds Steam integration after all) but if you start downloading GTA5 on the RGL, pause/cancel it, copy/move the Steam copy of GTA5 to the RGL location, and then in the RGL "verify" the game install the normal thing would be that the RGL only downloads differences, i.e., supposedly only a few percent of the install as such.
