Cant reinstall steam games to my new drive.
I Had a 4tb hard drive that had most of my steam games installed but when my hard drive died on me, all the games went away. I do know if its not picking up the drive then it would mark the game to be able to reinstall on a different drive. I've Tried reinstalling Devil may cry 5 on my SSD since it was first installed on the hard drive but every time i try installing it to my SSD, It gives me a warning message saying: (Note: This game was installed on a drive that is not currently connected). I click install just to get greeted with another message saying "An error occurred while installing Devil May Cry 5: missing file privileges". I don't really know what to do now since I just wanted to reinstall the game on my SSD to replay it. I've tried checking forums to see what could maybe fix it but nothing works. If Steam expects me to plug in a dead hard drive in order for me fix the issue to reinstall the game onto a different drive then it would be useless. Pretty much stuck now trying to think what else to do that might fix this issue just to reinstall a game.

Remove that drive's library entry from the Storage settings. Until you do that, Steam is waiting for that drive to reappear. If it's dead and gone, you need to let Steam know not to look for it anymore.

I've already tried doing that. If you are referring the storage settings on steam so i can remove the entry then i wont work. steam only shows me c drive and my second ssd.

I wonder if uninstalling Steam would work? It normally uninstalls all games at the same time so I'm not sure how it'll behave if they aren't there but I'm not sure what other options you have. A full wipe and windows reinstall would do it, but that's somewhat drastic.
