Store Country Venezuela Issues
So I live in Venezuela but have always done my purchase in USA store country because I found it more easy to use dollars. Because of this my store country is set in USA but now that Venezuela can use dollars too, I wanted to change back to my home country.

The problem is that to change store country I need to use a local payment method, but in Venezuela, at least to my knowledge, there exists no local payment method that uses Dollars and also has a local billing address, as all cards that use dollars in Venezuela are from abroad. Then, is it possible to change my store country to Venezuela ?

You use a local payment method that uses your own currency and your bank will convert it to USD when you make the transaction.

And yes ALL USD cards will work in the LATAM region bit it will NOT change your store country...

How will retail Wallet Codes be affected by this change? For example, will it be possible to redeem USD wallet codes?

MENA - USD and LATAM - USD countries/regions will be able to redeem USD wallet codes after November 20th. In addition, Turkish lira and Argentine Pesos Steam wallet codes will automatically convert to USD based on the daily exchange rate when redeemed on Steam after November 20th.

I tried to use a credit card with Bs (Bolivares), the currency of my country, and this was declined by the credit card company as conversion from Bs to Dollars is something not authorised in Venezuela.

I just wanted to know if it’s posible to change store country to Venezuela, and honestly I’m not sure if it’s possible.

Bolivares are not accepted by Steam, therefore a conversion from Bolivares to U.S. Dollars is required.

Since your credit card company declines such conversions, you either need a credit card that permits international transactions in U.S. Dollars or have to obtain and use U.S. Dollar Steam Wallet Cards.

I see, I think there aren't any type of providers that do conversions in Venzuela, so I'll have to keep using the USA store account, even so, thank you for the advice

I think you'll have a difficult time buying anything if you're in that region, given 1 USD = 3,540,201.37 VEF
