PC Restarting Everytime I Launch Any Game From Steam After Upgrading My GPU
As the title said, i just upgraded my GPU from AMD RX 570 to NVIDIA 3060 TI. I have uninstalled the old AMD driver using DDU and installed NVIDIA driver as well. But everytime i launch games from steam, my PC suddenly restarting. But if i tried to play games that are not from steam either AAA or indie games, the games run just fine so i think maybe my steam is faulty for some reason. I have already reinstalled steam but to no avail. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!!

Please do the following.
Open the Steamclient, click on Help in the top menu bar, then System Information. Copy all text and post it here.
ReBoot Nov 25, 2023 @ 3:10am
Disable GPU acceleration for web views, restart Steam. Report results. I got a theory what this might be, but let's rule out the most obvious causes first.

Ok, looks fine so far. Please check your Windows event log for the times where those restarts happened, there should be some alerts with a critical level when that happened. That should help us nail down what caused the restart.

Do you know the PSU/Power supply unit model in your system?

Please note the RTX 3060 to uses more power than your RX570 and if GPU try to ramp up sucking all party that psu couldn't handle that can cause either shutdown, or blue screen.

Here a test can also do real quick, just turn off Steam overlay then launch game.

You want to do test, and tell us the PSU you're using so eer have idea what could be going on.

RX 570 up to 200 Watts

https://www.tomshardware.com/news/nvidia-rtx-3060-ti-gets-few-benefits-from-gddr6x-says-reviewer
Aftermarket 3060Ti up to 225 Watts. Not that much more and wouldn't explain why ANY Steamgame instantly causes a restart and non-Steam games don't.

@Cathulhu @Dr.Shadowds i checked event viewer and there is kernel 41 critical error
Cathulhu Nov 25, 2023 @ 4:33am
And what are the details of that error and entries before that?
That particular entry only says that the system rebooted without shutting down properly. Which is something we already know.

Check the chart again for rx570, you see what I mean, I doubt OP would OC his card, or push it that far.

Also we have zero idea what PSU using, as could be on the very edge, or using bad product that can't handle certain amount of power flex at given time.

Can you do the things I ask earlier?

it says kernel event tracing in warning tab
Dr.Shadowds 🐉 Nov 25, 2023 @ 5:13am
Well PSU fine, and do you have any other warnings in window log or just 41?

Test gpu using benchmark software, like 3D mark, or benchmark unigine.
https://benchmark.unigine.com/superposition

If it crashes from benchmark then may mean faulty GPU. Just by chance did you overclock the GPU, or touch settings for it?

Another test is ram test just something to confirm something, which we want to make sure it not the ram by small chance, as performance between two GPU are quite large, and can allow games to use more RAM when running at higher settings.

I suggest memtest86
