[ Answered ] How to make new Steam installation understand there are:
Existing Steamlibrary directories on other hard disk and solid disk after my previous HD past away with all of Steam data including the access to other two HD and SSD.
These games are installed both folders are still instact but after installing Steam on SSD. Is not acknowledging the existance of (C:) and (F:) disk/partitions.

Please help out, I don't want to putt to download 300 gbish of games.

P.S. Just found this path in the main client: Steam > Restore Game Backup....
Is not recognizing anything inside. Why is Steam so dumb under these circumstances.

I am moving the folder to SSD where the new Steam installation got in. But the transfer is taking too long. Valve need to adress a function to acknowledge these Steamlibrary folders/directories. All files including libraryfolder.vdf and appmanifest_271590.acf and etc are in it. Why Steam can't recognize any of that?

Go to the settings in Steam, then the storage manager and re-add the libraries. You might need to click the "Let me choose another location" at the bottom of the pull-down menu.
I've tried that but all files inside the folders were empty or not being recognized. I mean, played games last night fine. But today my oldest HD with Steam and all data registration can no longer be retrieved and there are two other HD and SSD with games on it.
I've tried going through Steam > Settings > Storage > ( new Steam installation directory ) > ... ( browse and repair ) but nothing worked.

Maybe is recognizing part of it because I am moving these files manually but is still downloading...gosh...the download....why!

If the above isn't working try this
Close Steam
Rename the steamapps folder to steamapps_old
Open Steam
Create Library where you want it
Close Steam

2 Options

Option 1
Delete the new Steamapps folder
Rename steamapps_old back to Steamapps
Load Steam

Option 2
Cut, Not copy, CUT the contents of the Steamapps_old folder and paste inside the new Steamapps folder
Delete the Steamapps_old folder
Load Steam
Hmm...part of the reading got resolved. Steamwork common Redistributables downloaded and then recognized the folder. One of the game verified the read the existed files but the other being transferred manually to other SSD which in the case Steam kept the information on the other HD so I am now downloding all over a 109 gb game. :angry_creep:

This is annoying. I don't get why did not acknowledge but after couple tried part of the process worked. Steam shoudl be faster even on SSD.

By the way I am in a situation got me more frustrated:

If you still have the files Do the Option 2 steps in post #4
I've did. Ended up in a mess and I'm having to download all over again. I'll leave for another day to download the rest...maybe or wait untill I get a third HD to move these games back there.
