HELP PLEASE
just wrote to me (VALVE Employee) on steam chat saying: Hi! I'm Jared Christen, I'm from http://www.valvesoftware.com and I'm an official Valve employee. I need to check your recent activity on third party sites.
All your friends have been "temporarily" blocked so that nothing distracts you from this dialogue.
Counter-Strike 2 PRIME Status Upgrade has been temporarily removed from your Steam.
I just need a few minutes of your time, please listen to me.
Your account is on trial because you may have logged in to a phishing site a week ago and for this reason I need to restart your account to make it secure.
So DO NOT do anything that is against the Steam Terms of Service Agreement Policy to avoid further problems with your account.
In order for me to update your account, your account must be empty, you must transfer all your Steam items, CS:GO, etc. on another account. Once I update your account, you will be able to transfer and use your account again.
I'll explain everything to you, okay?
You must transfer your CS2 items to your FRIEND or a SECOND ACCOUNT. Anyone, as long as it's safe, so I can proceed to restart your account. Then restart it after reboot.
I enabled your friends list for a moment. I will give you 10 minutes to exchange. Then I will start the reboot.
It deleted the games from my computer but I still have full control of Steam

Hijacked, not hacked. You leaked your account credentials somehow.
Don't listen to that scammer as Valve will never contact you thrhough Steam chat or Discord. Especially not with such terrible english.

Do not trade until your account is secured.

Take the following steps to secure your account:

1. Scan for malware. https://www.malwarebytes.com/
2. Check that the email and phone number on the Steam account are still yours.
3. Deauthorize all other devices. https://store.steampowered.com/twofactor/manage
4. Change passwords from a clean computer.
5. Generate new backup codes for your Mobile App. https://store.steampowered.com/twofactor/manage
6. Revoke the API key (there should be no key). https://steamcommunity.com/dev/apikey

Steam does not return inventory items or wallet funds: https://help.steampowered.com/faqs/view/3B6E-B322-2400-8D24

If you no longer have access to your account, read this:

They are not. You're being scammed and your account has been hijacked.

Don't make any trades.

Secure your account.

Yeah, the scammer put it there.

I have full control of my account except I can't fix my name. steam guard works and the gentleman who wrote to me is no longer here. How can I contact Steam to fix my account?

Secure your account by following the Steps posted above.

That "gentleman" is a scammer, by the way. It's a criminal that impersonated a Valve employee.

I followed all the steps but nothing, every now and then it says account banned
Cathulhu Nov 22, 2023 @ 2:38pm
Just edit your profile, just like the scammer did.
But it seems playing House Flipper is more important than making sure the account is safe and secure.

Of course building a house is safe to not worry about your account being under attack. :lunar2019laughingpig:

I play cs.. my sister play house flipper..
Pscht Nov 22, 2023 @ 7:42pm
Your sister has no business using your account. But who cares at this point, you seem to let everyone in.:steammocking:

Wait a second, go ask her if someone contacted her (on your account) with something like "vote for my team", or "checking items", or whatever the scammers use these days.

in any case I can't change the password from my phone and I don't have any other computer besides the one I use to play. could it be the fault of cracked autocad if they hacked me?
