Big Picture Mode error about internet connection while online

I am having an issue with Big Picture Mode that says there is no active internet connection, but I am actively connected to the internet. This happened since the last update to Steam Desktop version. I am using Windows 11 Home x64 Bit

Here is what I see when viewing Steam in Big Picture Mode

Internet
Offline Mode
There is no active Internet connection

Enter Offline Mode

Offline mode is not on, it is just the title scraped from a screenshot.

**Things I have tried**

1. Repairing the installation of Steam using the method found here https://www.minitool.com/news/steam-repair.html

Basically going into command prompt, typing the following command
“C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\bin\SteamService.exe” /repair” and then press Enter.


2. Reinstalling Steam
3. Power cycling the modem
4. Running Steam as Admin

None of these work and I am losing my patience. The games work fine.

Any suggestions?

I also tried uninstalling Steam completely (completely lost all games, oh well), anyway it didn't work. I still have that error.

Same goes for me, I think the problem exist since last windows update. Also there is another problem with big picture that I can't reconnect my controller and had to close steam from task manager. Does this happen to you too? I tried searching anywhere but found nothing

Sometimes my controller goes in and out, but that happened before the BPM issue started. Sorry I couldn't be of more help.

I'm having the same issue. Desktop mode is fine, Big Picture says no internet connection

I'm having the same issue, and desktop mode is not fine, it wont open any store pages, they're all just black screens.

I can use steam but for some reason it says no Wi-Fi connection

I have the exact same problem and I have tried everything and cannot fix it. Please lmk if you find a fix. Are you also unable to install games/update anything? Get the connection timeout message?

Exact same problem here. Tried just about everything. Landing page doesn't load unless I end-task on all "Steam Webhelper" processes. But I still can't download anything, just get "connection timed out" or "manifest unavailable". I'm so lost

Same here on both my desktop and ROG Ally. If you can get to regular steam, changing from online to offline and vice versa will work, then you can go back to big picture mode

Going out of bigger picture mode and back in doesn't work for me. Seriously Steam when are you going stop ruining my family's gaming experience, your gateway is simply too stressful and unpredictable to use.
