Is Turkey In MENA Region For Pricing?
Hello everyone,
Turkey switched to USD but the problem is prices are as in US, not MENA. I looked at some prices and it is same as US prices. What's going on? Are we going to switch MENA later? Will MENA prices update? Where can I check MENA prices?

If MENA prices are same as US, we are screwed. Age of Piracy might start again in Turkey.

Good Luck to us all

There's a couple threads about literally this topic already. Those threads contain the answer which goes something like this:
MENA prices are a recommendation by Valve. Game studios may or may not follow those recommendation, it is entirely possible for a studio not to do so. It is also possible that a studio set a $ price before MENA prices became a thing and you kinda-sorta inherited this price.

Since game studios are the ones to set the prices (Valve's recommendations are recommendations, not obligations), you have to ask there whether a price adjustment will happen.

If no price was changed by the dev/pub, the price would automatically be converted to the full USD price, until the devs/pubs change it.

I knew that but the problem is almost all of them are in US prices. It wasn't that way when our currency was in Turkish Liras.

Wouldn't be the first time devs/pubs don't respond timely to currency changes. If they don't set prices for the new regions, the price defaults to usd standard.

Reach out to them to adjust the pricing.

We, people who needs this change, should start a movement I guess. Awareness is important. However, I doubt big AAA companies would change anything.

Well, companies like making money, the volatile currency of your country was making them lose money.
So, it no longer made sense to support that currency.

The only way to fix it is to fix the economy of your country, which would require electing someone else as the leader.

I rather expect they will, at least for games that are still halfway current.

If by "awareness" you mean "forum spam", that won't change ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.

What you really need an awareness of is that your government burns the country down. For reasons I can't fathom, years of economic decline in Turkey lead to Turkish people elect the same government that's already been burning the country down.

I suggest you spread awareness of that, of the need to get rid of bad government. That's what'll solve your issues. Not only those with videogames, a better government will improve food prices, employment rates, whatnot, additionally to videogame prices

Dude, chill. What I meant by awareness is developers learning about our financial condition.

Before you do that, you must give developers the te to adjust. The change happened pretty much RIGHT NOW. Give them time to react first! That, and you sti should treat the cause (bad government) rather than symptoms. I've lived in a hyperinflation myself and I'm utterly dumbfounded by people styling videogame pieces as THE issue. When you live in a hyperinflation, there's bigger problems, than unaffordable videogames.

It is our government and it is our politics. No matter what I support an outsider should stay the hell out of it. I don't wanna get into politics so please, let's end this discussion here. Ok?

It was you who turned this discussion to politics on the first place. The idea to start a movement was yours. I'm merely following you down the road you chose.
