Steam launcher/client prevent PC (Windows 10) from sleep by keep using mic when it is opened. Is this supposed to happen?
As title said, steam launcher keep using mic when its open, but not when in background, and only after Chrome played audio/video. Not sure why but its only triggered on Chrome and only after Youtube video is playing. I tested foobar music app, it doesnt trigger. Playing from Spotify in Chrome doesnt trigger either

When checked via CMD (run as admin) with command in that situation
powercfg -requests
it displays message that "An audio stream is in use" preventing sleep

After laucher is closed (steam is still active in background), doing the same thing in CMD will say that "None" is preventing sleep

On Win 10 Settings > Privacy > Microphone it shows that "Steam Client WebHelper" and
"Windows Host Process (Rundll32)" are the last 2 app/process that using mic

From this im pretty sure this is caused by Steam Launcher. Any way to fix this beside plugging mic out or disabling them?

Do not stay in store, some other steam user mention stay in home lib then it do actual work.

( mic issue viewpoint only.)
And it require you actual send it to someone if you have a mic that braodcast out all it record, if im not mistaken you need a chat voice room ( aka just like a game that support it to be running, no channel to broadcast in then it cant make a keepalive broadcast.

Let see what other say about mic issue.

Feel free to update your sounds Driver, and use other app like discord akak skype to adjust sounds so it dont have to much sensitive record and broadcast things from room then nothing is being said, use other app to make sure its not own settings, and ist not the first time steam user have caught steam own steam mic and setting go nuts. ( problem is most use thirdpart app today and not steam own voicechat system )

If thats the case here make steam ticket,

Steam has moved that sounde setting to "steam voice" in the menu, problem is even i dont use it , and no one i know has ever said lets use steam voice, most online user i played with always use a thirdpart app to that.

I don't think the sound driver get updates anymore. It's Asus Prime A320M-F motherboard, which is pretty old.

As for ticket, how do I make one?
