Can you gift a game to a friend and pay it partially with a gift card?
Hello folks

So i have steam friend who want to gift BG3 to his brother for his birthday.

The game is 60 euros.

If I gift him a 25 euros gift card, can he use this gift card to buy the game for his brother or is there any limitations regarding using gift cards to gift games?

I never used one personally before.

Unless your friend frequently gifts game using wallet balance, it shouldn't be an issue.

Be aware that after an unspecified ratio, Steam may block the use of wallet balance for the purchase of gifts.
