Can you see the drive in Windows Explorer?
Thank you for your answer,
I don't see a drop-down option and "add" option.
I can see the drive in Windows Explorer. I can add and play non-Steam games on the disk.
I just can't add it to Steam to install Steam games.
Hello,
However, I can see the drive on Windows Explorer.
I have the same problem on Steam when my drive is in NTFS format. So I don't think the problem is the formatting.
So, you do not have that option?

It can be problematic in getting windows to recognise it when plugged in via USB sometimes, especially when formatted in other OS's, which may be the case here, but it can recognise and accept it.
No, no option. I just see the internal drive.
I can't do anything by clicking on it.

You miss the point, steam is already at NTFS at c-drev i bet , there is games that will not work at FAT32 or ExFAT, not going to happend ever. ( 2 diffrent type of disk media security and that will not work )
This is why windows user only have NTFS left, ExFAT is a linux issue.
Compare NTFS vs has been outdate garbage can disk system, not going to happend games wont work at past disk system media, i run into that issue over 10 years ago with another shogun2 total war user thats need help with why game did not work,. so games is effect by this.
and thats why i say steam windows user only have NTFS left, has nothing to do With MS and a user that need a media type to transfer files among them.

steam own mini guide on NTFS for linux user.
https://help.steampowered.com/en/faqs/view/3D5F-A249-30D4-41EC
ExFat not a windows problem at all, a linux windows clone issue. ( and also proof why steam make mistake and dare compare Linux and Windows and Mac users as we are all same then we are not. )
However, I can add my drive to Steam on my Mac (NTFS or ExFat)
https://steamcommunity.com/discussions/forum/2/
If that can help, as windows user i do not accept none "True windows system" understand why i say it like that, not the first timew we have seen issue with diffrent OS and its media type.
All i know is if you use NTFS at windows you also need NTFS to slave disk, because game own file security will not get game to work with lack of security, so its odd you cant ever get NTFS to work. ( as i said that steam user with shogun2 total war issue, was solved by this. )
and we have seen usb stick and other ( fat issue cause interference issue with Steam security also. )
and i bet you know why i said there is only NTFS left for a windows steam user.
you need a mac or linux master to know why you have issue with it. ( you will not get help from a windows user then we dont need a media transfer to a linux/mac Operating system. )
windows user do not have this issue at all.
You can ask steam support, maybe they can see things, we other dont know about.
there most be a linux/mac master that has the knowledge why you have issue with it.

Sorry, I'm not very good at English and I'm not sure I understand everything.
I would like to try to ask a Mac or Linux user but why? Because the Asus Rog Ally essentially uses Windows Explorer. And Steam is installed on Windows Explorer. Steam also does not view my drive in NTFS format.
Thank you for your help
I have the feeling that my problem comes from Steam, because it is not an error message like "cannot add library" or "library folder must be empty", like in the link you gave me as sent.
I just don't have the "add drive" option.
