Steam deck to PC remote game transfer

I just got BG3 for Christmas and I downloaded it on my steam deck. I now want to use remote game transfer the game to my windows computer so I can mod the game. However despite all my efforts I cannot get the download to transfer from my steam deck.

If it helps I have DeckyLoader installed on my steam deck and the plugins I have are Moondeck, Game Theme Music, CSS loader(Avatar customization suite, better achievements, Better blur, capymenu,centered game text, centered home,clean game view, colored compatibility icons, colored toggles, custom loader, deck store rounded, decky battery, decky download bar, decky sound bar, delly footer, focus highlight color, footer editor, fullscreen home, game cover reflections, game header text stroke, gradient top stroke, library move extra info, material you, mini carousel, minimal lock screen, no home edge fade, no home filter,no home game glow, no home text, obsidian, round, show instal status, stylish footer, tilted home, top bar transparency, volume tweaker), playtime, animation changer, audio loader, controller tools, HLTB for deck, protonDB badges, steam gridDB and web browser.

When you say plugged in, do you mean connected to power, connected to the same ethernet connection or connected to the computer via USB C?

Connected to power and it wouldn’t transfer the game but I eventually got mods to work on the steam deck and the data cap is being lifted tomorrow so I’m just gonna download the game then

Hi guys,

I'm facing this issue with the recently released "stable SteamOS". I can see the PC from remote play and I can also transfer games without issues from the PC to the Steam Deck but not from Steam Deck to my PC.

Starting in desktop mode with the steam deck plugged does nothing.

I tried several combinations, starting first steam from my PC and then the steam deck and also the other way around. I ensured the steam deck had power (connected to the power supply) and no other apps / games / downloads running but it didn't work.

is there a "out of the box" solution? I solved the issue by using Warpinator https://www.minitool.com/partition-disk/how-to-connect-steam-deck-to-pc.html (in case someone has the same issue) it is a bit annoying as I have to choose the files, the folder and all that but at least I save some time/bandwidth when transferring storage-hungry games from the steam deck to my windows PC.
