Please help me i bought the digital game Scott Pilgrim on the Game Stop store and it gave me a code and i copied and pasted it so I made sure it was right and it still wont work

Was it a Steam code to begin with?

Is it a Steam key?

You can use this link anywhere to register the Steam key once you are logged into Steam...

https://store.steampowered.com/account/registerkey

It will also send a confirmation email about adding the game to your account.

If it is a Ubisoft key, register it on Ubisoft.

Considering that is an Ubisoft game, I would expect that you were given an Ubisoft key, not a Steam key.

Considering they list Ubisoft as the brand, i wouldn't be surprised if the code is for Ubisoft Connect.

Where does it say that?

Even in the reviews it is said the game redeems on Ubisoft Connect.

Great game, classic side scrolling beat em up game. The only issue is the installation/redemption instructions. The instructions tell you to use steam, but this game isn't available on steam. So you actually need Ubisoft's uplay launcher. So once you get that you can easily redeem the code. **There is a way to add a non-steam game to your steam library, so you can do that anyway.**

Looking at that Q&A section, I think Game Stop hasn't updated that page to correctly identify it as an Ubisoft game key for several years.
