Automated Content Check System Taking Hours
Mostly complaining, since I already reported it to Steam Support, but I'm making a Guide, and every single time I want to add a section it takes 1-5 hours to actually finish the automated content check system. I already have every section written on google docs, I'm literally just copying things over. The only links I have in the guide are to other steam guides, and those steam guides passed the automated content check system days ago.

Theres nothing I can really do other than wait since I already contacted Steam Support (and they were useless, basically just told me to wait. Which I'd be fine to do, if I could upload the entire guide at once and then tell it to check, but I can't do that since I have to do multiple sections, and I can't add new sections when the previous one is being checked), but is anyone else having this same issue? Is this server end or on just me?

Lol, and this message got through the automated check system in 3 seconds, so its something to do with the guides. Can't imagine what though.

That happened to me when I was making one of my guides about Beamng.Drive. Likely the reason it takes longer is because a guide is a much larger piece of content than a message, so it will take a while for the automated check system to check it.

It depends on the guide too; I've seen it tends to take hours if there are links of ANY kind in the guide, even if linking to another steam guide. Also seems to be a permanent feature, where if a guide has ever taken hours to work, it'll always take hours for that specific guide.

Agreed, it increases with images, too. But only slightly.

I've seen guides stuck in analysis for days because of a single link.

Just wait it out.

This thread was quite old before the recent post, so we're locking it to prevent confusion.
