remote play together - game will not start on remote pc

Today I tried to play a game with my son via remote play together. When I invite him, the chat pops up with the invitation and he can accept it. Then the circle on the mouse turns briefly and that's it.
Any idea what this could be?
His computer has Win10, Steam installed in the latest version and nothing else.

Ask your son to allow Steam through firewall.
Is remote enabled and allowed on his PC could be a windows problem.

Make sure he has Windows 10 Pro. ...
select Start > Settings > System > Remote Desktop, and turn on Enable Remote Desktop.

He has an administrative acount in Steam.

I use a Chrome key with Steam link but it should just connect him to your game if the game is supported.
