Controller Config is now trash. My right joystick is inverted and I can't find a way to fix it. Any help?
Before the update it was still a tiny bit complicated but at least I was able to find a solution and even made a video about it that got like a 1000 views on my youtube channel. Now there is no simple or at least visible way for me to remap the right joystick. I have already spent a while looking.

So is there a secret? When I press up and down on my right joystick on my generic controller (playstation layout) Up and Down is Left and Right and so on. Why is there no place I can remap them? What's the secret to fixing this?

Thanks

Try via Steam > Settings > Controller > Test Device Inputs [Begin Test] > Setup Device Inputs

I did - it gets stuck on the first joystick after I push left, it refuses to map to the right- I've tried it several times at this point.

OK.
If it's a 1st party console controller try Reset Device Inputs, if not, map as much as possible and choose to skip wherever it gets stuck in the mapping.
Then choose 'Copy to Clipboard' and paste in Notepad. If that doesn't get you something you're familiar with (your previous fix may also have involved manually editing the mapping), paste the mapping here and we see if we can work things out between us.

If it is something you can work from, make the changes, copy the whole of the edited mapping, back in the controller test screen choose 'Setup Device Inputs' > 'Paste from Clipboard', see if the controller's all good.
