i was just wondering is there any little things that make using a PC easier for example ways to keep me updated on new games coming out or ways to make your apps folders etc easier to assess.

Steam does a good job of managing its own games. I've only rarely had to "manage" my folders.
Plus steam will automatically update games once their developer pushes them live(if that game is installed it will be updated).
If you want news then subscribe to a game's (or a develper's or a publisher's) page on steam. Typically go to the steam store page, click on "View Community Hub" and then subscribe to the forum and join the chatroom.
You'd get the same experience on Windows, Linux and Mac(except for that one thing that Apple did) and the Steam Deck and any computer where you installed SteamOS. Its all synchronized and your games are (usually) saved to the Steam cloud so you can pick up wherever you left off(usually) on any device.

As for specifically a PC, you can rip off that side panel and replace any parts you like, usually better more efficient parts rather than having to buy an entirely new computer when you realize it isn't powerful enough to run the game you want. It is more cost efficient than a laptop in which almost no parts can be upgraded or even replaced.

You can make a shortcut to a folder " to where all games folder is inside steam, many do that."

Some of us also make a folder st desktop with "Games" so all them desktop shortcut aient all over the windows desktop, ( just a overview of games, even none steam games )
later you just use client or script extender shortcut for a game, typical Behesda games ( modded )

Do note you need to know what, those shortcut is about, and then you do you are a start to be a pro gamer, ( and just wait to you know why pc is better but thats more a modded content, that make iot even better. )

gl with it.

ps.

Update pc was a huge issue in the old days today most newer pc have a app from board or brand pc that auto update Driver and BIOS.

Also why most dont bother say update your pc anymore. ( there are utilities that can check app version, but most will not have them third part app running, some like them other hate them. )

Do googl ccleaner , you might not need it yet, but see video and just use standard setting, and dont fiddle with option you have no clue what they are doing,

Dont forget , we other is use to manual edit registrations database in windows, that app have made it better with things not in system anymore, and clean up faster then yuo can find it.

and that why go see video with it, that day you run into a problem, then its a nice to know app.
never forget google is your friend.

Dont forget we other came from DOS age , so we use norton commander and later maybe Total Commander, problem is windows also made them app lesser needed, but not then you ask old tech person, they have functions in the app, and also could be seen as useless if you are just a standard user. ( so dont expect ppl give you advice with such app anymore, you can find equal many that screw up system, they did something they should not have done. )

You could say most app is not needed you need to be a tech person or have advance pc skill to know what they are doing. you might not be ready for them. ( we are not joking here ) they are professonal tools.

I'm sure other ppl can Iobit advance system care but they are so aggrsive in marketing so many will not have them anymore , and other apps do the same. ( even ccleaner with whatever app they offer doing install ) this is nothing new for old windows user , but new pc owner might not know this.

gl with it
