Steam takes 20-30 seconds to open
This is on a fairly new windows installation, I have used ddu twice before so this may have caused it, but opening steam from the taskbar takes roughly 20-30 seconds. Opening it from the library (backround applications) opens it immeidately however. I have a 5600 with a 6700xt so I dont have integrated graphics to disable, and going into services to disable AMD utilites hasn't helped. Thanks

Using hdd or ssd for steam launching from?
Do you have any app that tries to hook into client files, or mess with it permissions?
Do you have stable internet connection?

This may, or may not improve launching go into steam settings > interface > enable smooth scholling, GPU accelertaed rendering, hardware video decoding, and opt into steam beta.

Did you check your drive health, and speed performance ensure nothing wrong with it.

updating AMD drivers here worked for me https://www.amd.com/en/support/download/drivers.html
This thread was quite old before the recent post, so we're locking it to prevent confusion.
