Resident Evil 4 Won't Install

So just paid online for RE-4 but when I go into Steam Library and position mouse/cursor over install button it disappears. Why? I've downloaded Steam, paid for Resident Game, game shows on my account but every time I try to click on install - install button disappears.

Yet other games I have in library activate install when cursor is clicked on install. I should mention my mac M3 PC is new and I have a logitech HERO G502 gaming mouse.

Any help would be appreciated.

Whoa, thought I did my homework with Resident Evil 4 Remake now plays on imac 24 inch with M3 chip. When you google Resident Evil 4 it now says "playable" on new Mac PC with M3 chip.

But if I'm wrong it won't be the first time.

Should mention I just have basic M3 chip and not pro, nor max. But still read some online reviews that Resident Evil 4 play fine when using M3 basic chip.

The 2023 remake of popular game Resident Evil 4 is available from today on iPhone, iPad, and Mac. Capcom released the Resident Evil 4 remake on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC back in March.

Can't find it on steams store page only the old one with crappy graphics.

Nvm somehow it got ignored on my steam. Well i fixed that asap.

Seems like it's only on Mac when you get it through the App store:

Neither the 2023 remake, nor the 2005 original Steam pages show it works for anything other than Windows and Linux via Proton.

Strange that you have to go through Apple, when you would think going directly through Steam would be faster and possibly cheaper. I probably wait until tomorrow to cancel but thought Steam had there act together since Resident Evil has been out for a while. Thanks for the follow up guys.

After googling it looks like the pc version is windows only and the mac version is for apple phones only. So steam has nothing to do with this it's capcom that didn't release a mac version.

Well just saying there is stuff on the net that claims Resident Evil is now ready for Steam via Mac with M3 chip. Maybe I should of waited a few days more but when you read its now a GO, you think your safe. Per link attacked.

The specific link you gave says this:

"You can download Resident Evil 4 for Mac on the App Store. We usually complain when a Mac port is not made available on Steam, but in this case, the App Store version is meaty. It includes a free demo and full versions for iPhone and iPad, in case you want to take RE4 on the road."

It doesn't sound like they were trying to say it was on Steam
