How the ♥♥♥♥ do I uncensor reviews and community threads.

I have check "Do not filter strong profanity or slurs" in the community content preference's and I an still seeing little hearts all over the place. I have tried placing an asterisk in the "Never filter these words" input as well as ".*". Nothing seem to unlock the profanity I so crave behind this dumb little hearts censoring them. THIS IS A BUG at this point.

If I bought a Kurt Vonnegut novel and they censored every profanity he used. Then I would never know the genius humor of his writing. Please, can some one let me know if there is anyway too uncensor comments, reviews and anything writing by another steam user.

I am 36 years old, I have appreciation well place profanity and am not going to internally combust if I see a slur. I will just recognize how distasteful that person is who used it and give them a thumbs down. I am an adult and can accept the responsibly for controlling my own emotions and the actions that they influence. PLEASE STEAM FIX THIS ISSUE, it hinders the reality of communication in this community.

Sometimes people just type hearts (alt+numpad_3 in windows) just to ♥♥♥♥ with you. Other times the quoting system may have replaced the word with hearts anyway and on profile page comments you can't quote it to even check what they actually wrote.
If you're using the .* pattern then thats as good as it gets, for now.

Well I definitely didn't type hearts in the title of this post. Also I mention I tried ".*" and it did not work.

Well ♥♥♥♥, I think it may just take time for the ".*" regex pattern to kick in. Cause now I am seeing profanity that I post. However it doesn't uncover all hearts.

Its strange that the moment when I actually mentioned .* it started censoring the title so I rechecked all the filters and everything was still set correctly. Its still showing hearts in the title.
I think one of their little updates broke the filtering and only Valve can fix it.

I remember the filter breaking like this years ago so nobody's text got filtered and then their system saw all the swears and banned people immediately.
I don't have much use for swearing, but for the near future try to be careful or get ready to appeal any consequence because of their quaint bug in the system.
