Steam link Wake on WAN not working
I can get my pc to wake from sleep when I connect with the steam link app locally over the LAN. But I cannot get my pc to wake from sleep when I try to connect via internet (WAN). Is there a configuration to make this work? Has anyone been able to figure this out?

Note the magic packets for WoL must be issued LOCALLY on the same LAN as the device. Its 'sorta' possible to do it on the internet but you have to do a lot of configuring with port forwarding and all that jazz to get it functional.

Myself I have a Rasberry Pi device that I can remotely log into and issue the magic packets from there. Yes they are actually called magic packets. Network engineers are honestly just weird.

Thanks for the info. Seems like raspberry pis are the answer to everything these days, might have to cop a pi.

First get Lan to work, reason is so you know pc and Bios with WoL actual work with the drivers.
could also be a Firewall issue , if i recall correctly get through a Router with it require traffic is open for it, ( even ISP could have a VIP portal tht not open ) and now yuo get it with get LAN to work first. ( so you dont have multi issue with and dont know where the issue is.
