Need help trying to solve a Touchpad issue on certain games

Yeah im a freak for playing on a laptop, but i started playing games on one and now its natural to me, and while i wouldnt be completely against changing to a Desktop PC, i dont have the money for it and this Laptop is still fairly new, so yeah, not happening any time soon.

Anyway, this is an issue i originally though was exclusive to one game (Elden Ring) but after buying and playing RE4 2005 i learned it had the exact same bug, which proves this bug can happen to just about any game with no real consistency (For example i can play Sekiro, another Fromsoft game, with no issue)

To be specific, whenever i try to scroll with the Touchepad, it completely glitches out, like its trying to scroll down infinitely and this makes navigating or using the HUD of either game impossible, i havent found a way to solve it outside of closing the game (forcefully cause i cant do it manually ingame due to the bug)

Ive also tried connecting an (old af) Mouse to the Laptop to see if i can fix it with that, but it does nothing.

The bug is 100% consistent as well, as soon as i try to scroll at all in the game, the bug happens, doesnt matter where i do it either, in the menus, while playing, and likely even during cutscenes.

The only "solution" ive found was to disable scrolling completely, but this is just evading the problem and causing others, since not only is it annoying to turn it on and off whenever i play one of these games, but it also makes certain features unavailable, like zooming in or out of the map in Elden Ring.

I can only say this. most laptop user turn it off in the bios or app it self, reason is then you play shooters like W A S D and hit space sometimes most of us notice you can might touch the pad as mistakes doing game, problem is design and to close to left side or hand size/side matter here,

And scroll , most do that on mouse today, and many laptop has usb port at left and right side so if you are a right hand person you will try use port at left side of laptop to avoid hit mouse cord plug, and no we dont use battery mouse that heavy and then you use mouse over years you dont need heavy mouse.

Why i bother reply with it, so you dont have to learn this after several years and longterm pain in arm, ask other here that play 40 years with mouse, they can tell you heavy mouse is not a good thingy and why such detail matter and many of us can say today why did other not tell us this.

You can find many unspoken advice most dont think on here,

I dont need to tell you touchpad drivers can be download at laptop support page or they have own webpage on the internet, and all this dont matter then we turn it off anyway depend on laptop, same as we dont see mini mouse anymore, they have removed that from most laptop over 15 years i think.

There is alot of things here, we dont talk about touchpad is one of them, could be rude and say maybe its not design for 3D shooters games, im sure you can find laptop user that disagree with me on this, but as i said depend on hand touch the pad doing WASD keys with space as jump mine do and that why its useless for me.

and i could say ask Games devs support for that game, im sure they did not design and test for touchpad, i doubt they even think it was there. ( most game requirements is design for desktop pc ) this is a fact so few games devs actual mention laptop at all ) and most dont care about laptop at all. ( or they will have included them in game requirements. )

Dont expect other steam user want to reply or explan you things like this, its like you bought its your problem,

i just got a newer laptop a friend dump me hes old ones, and again 2 laptop with touchpad and spacebar issue. ( i cant be the only one that notice can hit pad by mistake doing a game.

we are not telling you what you should do, we are telling you the experience with have it on,
im sure im not the only one that dont like touchpad in 3D shooters or 3'rd person games.
