"Disk Write Error" when trying to update / install a game.
Hello, I was trying to update "Don't Starve Together" when it suddenly stops at 99% and gives me a Disk Write Error. I have uninstalled the game and reinstalled it multiple times, deleted the downloading folder on my device, and looked through numerous guides but none have helped me. I use a Macbook Air running on Macos Sonoma. Other games install and update correctly, but Don't Starve Together does not. May I have some help with this?

Restart computer first.

I've tried that. Multiple times, still does not work.

Is it possible to perform hard drive error checking with your computer?

Maybe this is helpful:

Nothing appears to be wrong. Should I run a "First Aid" on my mac's hard drive?

I've never used a mac before. Maybe someone else can help.

I am having the same problem. I am sure this has nothing to do with your Mac. Steam seems to produce this error presumably and I also did not find a way to start gaming again - Stuck with Cloud sync error also and "disk write error" after trying resume a download (although all data has been downloaded already 369.1. of 369.1. MB!)

I found a solution:

Make sure that Steam is enabled in privacy settings (App Management), once it is, you should be able to download it normally. Hope this helps!
