Hack attempt: Remote deinstalled a game and blocked friends
Hey community,

PLEASE DO NOT CLICK ANY LINK ON MY PROFILE

Was playing a CS2 game and my friend noticed my profile and account were changed. I noticed I had a [VA EMPLOYEE] messaging me and saying all the usual scammer/hacker things with all my steam account listed info. The scammer/hacker then proceeded to block all my friends except the account they were messaging me from and uninstall one of my games from my library???

I proceeded to follow all the steps, wiping of authentication/api/password/reset codes

I’m still doing a full malware scan as the base level scan turned up nothing.

I got fished or hacked clearly but the thing that stresses me the most is that they were able to uninstall one of my games from my computer.

I’m wondering what else I should do going forward. I’m going stay logged out of main PC I cases it’s compromised.
