Videos do not play in Waterfox
In the store, when viewing games, I can't get videos to play in Waterfox on Windows (Waterfox is a fork of Firefox). It seems that some people occasionally complained about this in 2022, and then is started working. Here in late 2023, it doesn't seem to work.

The videos play fine in the Steam client, but the Steam client can't zoom in, so I can't read the text on my monitor, which is why I'm going to the web version of the store.

I did try changing the about:config option widget.windows.window_occlusion_tracking.enabled, but that did not have an effect.

No, I'm not going to "sacrifice cash and cookies" because that's not nearly as relevent as the support trolls would have you believe. I think I've been having this problem for years across many versions and computers, but I don't use Steam very often, so maybe not. Regardless, clearing cache and cookies is only relevent if you're working around a rapidly changing website.

A few relevent links I was able to find, none of which really offered solutions:

According to the information you linked on the Pale Moon forum, the Pale Moon browser's parser is not compatible with scripts that use optional chaining.

As Steam's video scripts use optional chaining, this means the Pale Moon browser cannot display the videos. The only way this can be fixed is if Pale Moon contributors implement a parser that supports optional chaining. But they seem to have other priorities.[forum.palemoon.org]

we don't support it at the moment and have focused on other important JS issues first.

If Waterfox cannot display Steam videos for the same reason, then Waterfox's parser needs to support optional chaining too.

There's a reason most other browsers can play videos on Steam. Their parsers support optional chaining.

Sadly even Wikipedia claims, Waterfox has mutiple security vulnerabilities.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Waterfox#Vulnerability

I recommend to switch to Firefox (Developer Edition).
https://www.mozilla.org/de/firefox/developer/

FFDE is more leightweighted, more performance, better securities ..

Use Firefox + uBlock Origin (by Raymond Hill).
https://addons.mozilla.org/de/firefox/addon/ublock-origin/

Both combined is pristine !!
