Hold the Link so you can see the ethernet port and the LEDs on the Link.
Now plug in the power cable to the Link. What do the LEDs do?
They should turn on for a few seconds, then turn off.
If they don't come on at all, check to make sure the Link power brick is plugged into a working outlet (plug a lamp or something else in to check). If the wall outlet is good and you see no LEDs on the Link, that's bad.
If the LEDs come on and stay on forever, that is also bad.
If the LEDs turn on for a few seconds and turn off, then you probably have a problem with the TV/display. Try a different TV or monitor if you have one.
After this it just goes to a black screen and stays there. I’ve tried different tv inputs, different cables... nothing.
and will wake with any bt/usb activity
you can check if it has power by testing a usb port, led or usb tester
the link has no power/wake led, the lan leds will turn on when it its awake and connected to other network devices
